Oh man, its the beginning of the last semester of my first year of PA school. Seriously?! Where has the time gone?! We had a four-day semester break during which Thai decided he was going to fly me home because he couldn't make it here and I basically kept it a secret from everyone who didn't live at Thai's house. It was actually really really nice. I just had to wake up at 5:30am to take him to work so that I could use his car, but otherwise I was free to do as I pleased. I had no plans, I woke up, ate, shopped, and slept when I felt like it. I actually went running at Mile Square Park just for old times' sake (and to see if I could still make the 4 miles) and I did so I was ecstatic! Apparently running a hilly 3 mile trail keeps you in shape for a flat 4 miler. Had lunch with my mentor Cris, which always ends up being this like 3-hour deal because he is trying to live vicariously through me and wants to know EVERYTHING about how PA school is going and has TONS of advice to give me. I love it though, and he is ALWAYS telling me how jealous he is =] Thai and I had a little romantic dinner at the Summit House in Fullerton, which I believe is a popular wedding reception venue. It wasn't bad, but I think I like our romantic dinners at steakhouses better. It was great regardless because we haven't had one of those since like October, so it was long overdue. I finally gave in and told my sisters I was in town like the day before I left, so they came by Thai's for our seafood boil and hung out for a bit. My flight the following morning was rough. A girl at Walmart today told me that I was beautiful. I told Lisa that I felt like it was a bigger compliment than hearing it from a guy. Lisa says it's because she has no ulterior motives, she really means it. I have to agree. Made my night.
